Danke auch an Josi, Henning, Kerstin, Steffen, Alice, Johanna and Norbert…

Magic is part of the craft

Find the difference …!
The first photo is from today at 12:00 p.m., the second at 4:00 p.m.
Sure, it is of course the loading bar and the lettering LOADING in white as the last design level on the 13 x 13 m banner at the Engelbert-Strauss headquarters in Biebergmünd.
There are plenty of street art murals and advertising murals – one of which is educationally valuable because it is generally understandable or artificial and mysterious, the other is often cold and bored computer aesthetics that should sell or arouse curiosity. Both have in common that it is usually simply projected on a large scale via a beamer / projector and then repainted, sprayed, brushed, etc.
Today I was allowed to train my sense of proportion and my aesthetic sensitivity again: Freehand taped off and the white design part, then sprayed on the cherrypicker at 1 degree celsius outside temperature. Then the adhesive tape was removed again. The arbor is ready … Graffiti design with a difference.
Thanks to Julian for the help with the cherrypicker operation. Thanx to Josi, Henning, Kerstin, Steffen, Alice, Johanna and Norbert…

Follow the white fur collar …

It’s getting deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole and the white rabbit is running for its digital life: Insta and other so-called networks divert attention away from the supposedly gloomy Corona recession reality. Staring remotely into our small smartphones, many of us run through the world without realizing their actual existence in their respective place and time. If you face the world of likes, thumbs ups and so-called influencers, you can see the ridiculousness and disadvantages of an alleged competition. Lots of appearances, lots of advertising and a lot of smoke about nothing. Absolutely no endurance, since whether the abundance of possibilities in an allegedly uncontrolled empty space can be discovered and also done so much that one gets lost in it. Because the sales promise of a portal is precisely the possibility of a presentation of whatever kind.
Kids show how it is done, the old ones run after them (and then dress like kids too): Slimfit with older people just looks hollow and embarrassing. Fur collar jackets and SUVs have already arrived in the last corners of the republic. Time to turn things around and advertise new styles.
Regardless, my early (and also part of) my temporary artwork gets a place in the digital rating rush, but on the interesting Walls dont lie podcast by Kid Crow and KGEE. The podcast not only illuminates street artists, but also presents stylers / stylewriters, Graffiti-Artists, bboys, hip hip and wild artwork from Germany. So there is an interview with my very warm friend Amigo (Flying Steps) from Berlin, who is also a fantastic calligrapher, and my outstanding GBF crew member – the typo count Tasek from Hamburg (previously Braunschweig) and my old friend Stylemaster Shaw from Berlin. Btw. If you don’t know yet, in 2000 I booked and arranged the Flying Steps for a presentation at the ISPO to Sony PlayStation, which was then active almost every year, first at the Games Convention in Leipzig, then at Gamescom in Cologne.
From Monday, December 7th, 2020 there will also be a more detailed interview with yours truly.
In the course of the process, I then accepted Kid Crow into the GBF (gummy bear front) crew, a venerable crew whose members are spread internationally, but whose focus is on German-speaking countries.
This is a very different kind of cultural policy. Btw. where is the public space on the internet?
Have a nice Santa Claus/Père Noël/Father Christmas and follow the white rabbit …!

Jahresendzeit News ;-)

Jahresendzeit News 😉

Bestellungen bitte an shop@bomber.de

End of year news 😉

I’m not a fan of generating products or services at any price, because that heats up the obligation to swap even more, but in a strange prophetic way I designed shirts in January 2019 that couldn’t describe the current situation better: Hairy times!
The hairy times for long-haired bombers shirt can be obtained directly from my studio. The model A Heart for Sprayer and the classic bomber shirts in sizes M, L, XL are also available. All are unisex, medium-weight 180 g to 250 g quality, double fluted motif (screen print) by B&C or Gildan.

29, – plus shipping 3,79 euros (for germany, overseas more).
Furthermore, every customer (male / female) receives a numbered and personalized Din A6 postcard Seasons greetings from Frankfurt, which I designed and limited to 250 pieces. This is a project by my friends Debie and Musti from the amazing 707 creative studio.
Xmas is going to be weird anyway, but it might still be a nice gift for people with a sense of humor.
Please send orders to shop@bomber.de
In this year in which almost everything was really different, I was able to look forward to a work grant from the Hessian Cultural Foundation. Thank you dear cultural foundation …
In spite of everything, I will compare grants, e.g. go to the farmers in Germany with those who go to the cultural workers, that’s a real joke.

Just copy yourself …

Just copy yourself …

(Friedrich Stoltze)

Style is what we’re doin‘ … Here is a example of a fresh facade, copied from an artwork I realised in 2010. The origin mural was deconstructed 2019. So, I spraypainted the topic refreshed, the skyline of Frankfurt at another place, in Steinbach/Taunus in August 2019. Welcome back … 10 years after … Real estate appreciation of a different kind.

There is a lot more to see on the subject of Frankfurt, Skyline, Eintracht Frankfurt, SGE and Frankfurt topics:

Feed the matrix

Feed the matrix …
In the twilight of the discrepancy between creating and consuming, we now have the additional component of self-portrayal on the net / Internet / social networks (where is the social component when everyone is sitting or running alone in front of their device?) / Messenger.
Self-presentation or presentation in times of analog communication was a little more leisurely, but no less interesting.
Exactly 26 years ago in April 1994, CEMNOZ / David Kammerer, DAIM / Mirko Reisser, CANTWO / Fedor Wildhardt and me / BOMBER were approached by our friend GOR / Darco Gellert from Paris whether we would like to look at a surface design on the Gare du Nord in Want to participate in Paris for the French State Railways.
The background was two areas of approx. Sizes 6 m x 90 m, each with a differently colored background. The left was yellow and the right was painted blue with graffinet, an alleged protection from graffiti. Our challenge was to apply the chemical protection artwork to the surfaces. This worked better than expected. After only two or four sprayings, the spray paint, then Sparvar from SprayColor, held. Despite the most adverse circumstances, – the wagon provided to us with the paint spray cans was broken open directly in front of the facade surfaces and completely emptied – , the five of us had a lot of fun creating these highly visible works. Unfortunately, the plants were sprayed with spray cans at night. However, they were definitely not real writers or graffiti artists, because the sprayed on was just called »Muslim Force« ;-(.
We stayed in a dormitory for train workers in a particularly bleak ugly environment (I remember it on Avenue Paul Valéry in Sarcelles) and were allowed to take care of ourselves there. To do this, we were always allowed to make a pilgrimage to the work station directly on the tracks at the head station.
It was a crazy undertaking, but the result was existing very long.

Kultur trifft Kultur

Kultur trifft Kultur

Culture meets culture

My start with Graffiti Art or Street Art was originally non-commercial, even wild (»oh my goodness …«). That too is also a part of our culture today. To represent on this blog not only my commercial work and to create the wrong picture, from time to time I decide to show free works, of which I also create more every year than I can show.
You will find a lot of cultural elements from previous times, especially in Italy. At the end of April 2018, I was with two friends in Perugia, the capital of Umbria, and I had the opportunity to create a wall of well over 35 degrees in the blazing sun with the local spray artists BERO TDS (The death squad) and NOEK.  Thanks to Mr. Wany for the contact.
Perugia and the surrounding towns are a real paradise. It is worth visiting Assisi (yes, that with St. Francis / Francisco), Spello and the many small places.
Also a beautiful transition to the theme of wall design is the chapel of San Severo, in which you could enjoy looking closely to a fresco by Raphael (Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino, Raffael da Urbino, Raffaello Santi) completed by Pietro Perugino. Its the last existing work wich has been preserved. We had fantastic accommodation with a lawyer in the immediate vicinity, with a view across the plain to Assisi from two rooftop terraces that can be considered as the highest vantage points in the city.
High-quality components of the fresh food are standard there and so wonderful, during the day and in the evening life takes place on the Piaza and the streets. You do not really have the impression to spend your time in a small town and enjoy the dolce vita …

Tape Art 4 Ingolstadt Village

Tape Art 4 Ingolstadt Village

November 2019 in Frankfurt umsetzen.

This year ends as it started. With cold and snow and freestyle tape art implementations.
At the beginning of 2019, more precisely, at the end of January 2019, we followed a call to Ingolstadt, to the so called Ingolstadt village, a shopping mall. There, Tape Art was desired on various surfaces, such as shop windows, doors and vehicles of large and small brands. In the midst of snow and freezing cold, we realized freestyle motifs and patterns with neon masking tape / textile tape.
For the exhibitors‘ celebration of formnext, the world’s leading trade fair for additive manufacturing and intelligent industrial production via Mesago, we will also be implementing live tape art in Hall 9.0 on November 19, 2019 in Frankfurt.

Heureka !

Greece from the perspective of German and Greek artists
Not only does the origins of Western, European thought and philosophy connect me with Greece, but in 2019 it was the first time for me, that I spent time personally over there, on the island of Kos. Already in 2000 I was invited to Athens for the Meeting of Styles / MOS by Woozy / Kiriakos Iosifidis (author of books like Mural Art, Bike Art and Mural Masters). At that time, due to my obstacle, the phobia of flying sent me the no less well-known Klark Kent / Mario Laugell to Greece. This would not be the case today.

In 2014, I was asked to design some artwork in the staircase and some artwork at the management rooms for the Hellenic Tourist Office (as usual freehand without tools, without stencil or similar). Due to the enthusiasm about the results, the Association of Greek Academics Frankfurt am Main e.V. invited me to create three works on framed canvas for an exhibition.
This exhibition was organized with works of art by German and Greek artists with the aim of promoting and strengthening friendships between the countries. The following artists will participate in the exhibition: Christos Bouronikos, Willy Dorn, Klaus-Valtin von Eickstedt, Alexander Haßenpflug, Jannis Psychopedis, Pavlos Samios, Helge Steinmann and Bernd Wagner.

The works will take place from 19 November to 13 December 2019 during business hours from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, on Thursdays 9:00 am to 6:00 pm in the rooms of the Customer Center of Frankfurter Sparkasse in Neue Mainzer Straße 47-53 in 60311 Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Welcome to the Vernissage on Tuesday, 19 November 2019, from 19:00 clock, the President of the Parliament Boris Rhein will open.
