Drum prüfe, wer sich ewig nach oben bewege …
Es gibt ja online mittlerweile so viel Content für den die Beschreibung »heisse Luft« noch als Lob zu bezeichnen wäre. Hier mal eventuell vielleicht etwas mit Hirn und Sinn:
Am Freitag, 04.08.2023 durfte ich als einziger Graffiti Artist/Street Artist ab 8:00 Uhr an einer Hub- und Arbeitsbühnenschulung und -führerscheinprüfung bei Schmidt Arbeistsbühnenverleih in Neu Isenburg teilnehmen. Hintergrund ist, daß ich für Schott Light- und Imaging in Mainz ein künstlerische Indoorfassadengestaltung bis auf ca. 8 m Höhe realisieren darf und auf dem Betriebsgelände niemand so einen Steiger ohne diesen Führerschein fahren darf. Nicht daß ich keinerlei Erfahrung im Steuern der Geräte hätte – im Gegenteil. In über 35 Jahren internationaler Erfahrung im Gestalten mit der Farbsprühdose auf Fassaden und Wände fuhr schon sehr viele unterschiedliche Maschinen, zuletzt für einen 30 x 6 m Job auf Malta. Teils unfassbar alte Möhren, teils hochmoderne Teleskopausleger und Cherrypicker, die ich, im Nachhinein festgestellt, auf abenteuerliche Weise bedienen durfte. Mein Vorurteil wurde teils bestätigt, teils widerlegt.
Bestätigung: In Deutschland wird aus jedem Klimbim eine Prüfung, eine Vorschrift oder ein Ausbildungsberuf ;-). Widerlegung: Im Kurs erfuhr ich tatsächlich eine Menge, die ich so nicht erwartete. Prüfer Norbert Langer erklärte kompetent was für Gefahren bestehen, warum Wind gefährlich sein kann, warum man sich festgurten sollte und was ein Notfallplan ist. An Beispielen zeigte, wie entscheident der Untergrund ist auf dem so ein Steiger stehen sollte und wo an dem Gerät die Hauptinformationen über Traglast und weitere wichtige Informationen stehen.
Ich kann also die so genannte IPAF Prüfung nur empfehlen.
Danke an Norbert Langer bei Schmidt Hub- und Arbeitsbühnenverleih in Neu-Isenburg. Das Unternehmen verleiht seit 1969 Hub- und Arbeitsbühnen und hat einen riesigen Fuhrpark, deren Teleskopausleger bis auf 72 m (!!!!) reichen.

So check, who’s moving up forever …
There is now so much content online for which the description „hot fart“ could still be described as praise. Here’s something that might make sense: On Friday, August 4th, 2023, I was the only graffiti artist/street artist allowed to take part in a lifting and working platform training course and driver’s license test at Schmidt Arbeitsbühnenvermietung in Neu Isenburg from 8:00 a.m.
The background is that I am allowed to realize an artistic indoor facade design for Schott Light and Imaging in Mainz up to a height of approx. 8 m and that nobody is allowed to drive such a climber on the company premises without this driver’s license. Not that I have no experience in controlling the devices – on the contrary. In over 35 years of international experience in designing with aerosol paint cans, I have already driven many different machines, most recently for a 30 x 6 m job in Malta. Some incredibly old carrots, some state-of-the-art telescopic booms and cherry pickers, which I found out afterwards that I was allowed to operate in an adventurous way.
My prejudice was partly confirmed, partly refuted. Confirmation: In Germany, every little thing turns into an exam, a regulation or an apprenticeship ;-). Rebuttal: In the course I actually learned a lot that I didn’t expect. Inspector Norbert Langer competently explained what the dangers are, why wind can be dangerous, why you should strap yourself in and what an emergency plan is.
Examples showed how crucial the ground is on which such a climber should stand and where the main information about the load capacity and other important information is located on the device. So I can only recommend the so-called IPAF test. Thanks to Norbert Langer at Schmidt lifting and work platform rental in Neu-Isenburg. The company has been renting out lifting and working platforms since 1969 and has a huge fleet of vehicles with telescopic booms that reach up to 72 m (!!!!).
