Mein alter GBF-crewbuddy Pino Caruso ludt ein nach dem Brand des Blauen Wassers die Fassade zu gestalten und viele Street Artists (ich inklusive) kamen.

Zur Roof on fire Street Art Gallery am Sonntag, 14.09.2025 ab 12:00 bis 22:00 Uhr sind alle beteiligten Artists und deren Umkreis vor Ort in der Franziusstraße 35.

Das Wetter soll bombe werden, der Pool ist offen (also Badehose mitbringen) und Fernsehkoch Christopher Crell kredenzt Food (angeblich modifizierte Best worscht in town) … Mucke gibts ja eh. Welcome! You’re invited!

Mich trifft man vor Ort dann eh nach meiner Charity für Stuart4kids ab ca.  16:00 Uhr.

Hier ein Beispiel einer Arbeit aus dem Jahr 2016 auf Maschinenoberflächen eine Maschine von Averex für Kadigo. Was als Street Art Airbrushing Event zur Einweihung des neuen Standortes in Idstein 2015 startete (Danke an Evendon / Beate Hüls) , bekam ebenfalls eine fette Wandgestaltung in Form eines freihand gesprühten Tyrannosaurus Rex, ca. 7 m hoch und ca 8 m breit, ebenfalls mit Dose durch mich erstellt.

Schon 1995 initierte ich mit meiner damaligen Agentur OXYGEN das Geschäftsfeld ernstzunehmender Gestaltung mit der Farbsprühdose und wir beauftragten Sigi von Koeding /DARE für einen unserer Kunden eine Trafohausoberfläche zu gestalten. Damals klassisches Stylewriting, lässt sich mit der Dose auf nahezu allen Oberflächen gestalterisch arbeiten. Heutzutage auch im Boesner zu finden, war das bis Anfang der 2000er kaum vorstellbar, daß die meisten Menschen sich vorstellen konnten daß damit sinnvolles Artwork erstellt werden kann. Wie man sich täuschen kann …

The spray paint can: I’ve been using it since the late 1980s, and it was clear that it was a very special innovation that had since completely transformed not only culture but also the perception of the urban environment. This tool serves artistic (free), advertising (applied), and even quasi-religious purposes (football fans), and began its career as a misuse. Here is an example of a work from 2016 on machine surfaces of Averex by Kadigo.

What started as a street art airbrushing event for the inauguration of the new location in Idstein in 2015 (thanx to Evendon / Beate Hüls) also got a bold wall design in the form of a freehand sprayed Tyrannosaurus Rex, about 7 m high and about 8 m wide, also created by me with a can.

Back in 1995, I and my then agency, OXYGEN, initiated the business of serious design with spray paint cans, and we commissioned Sigi von Koeding / DARE to design a transformer housing surface for one of our clients. Back then, classic style writing, the can can be used for design work on almost any surface. Today, it can also be found in Boesner stores, but until the early 2000s, it was hard to imagine that most people could imagine that it could be used to create meaningful artwork. Heute vor 80 Jahren endete offiziell der zweite Weltkrieg. Ein Grund zu feiern. Anscheinend nicht in Deutschland, denn nur in Berlin ist heute ein Feiertag, in allen anderen Bundesländern ist es nur ein so genannter »Gedenktag«. Aber warum nur?

Deutschland-Bashing macht ja keinen Spaß, aber ich frage mich an so vielen Stellen, warum wir so wenig international, europa-einig sind? Ist das am Ende ein Ergebnis der Bildung? Eine falsche Wahrnehmung von Fehlern, eben keine richtige Fehlerkultur?

Lernen ist doch etwas tolles. Feiern sowieso. Und wir sollten doch mittlerweile gelernt haben, daß es miteinander einfach besser ist, als gegeneinander …

Ein weiterer Grund zum Feiern ist die Tatsache, daß es ein wohltätiges Golf Turnier der DUK-Hilfe von Jens Maspfuhl gibt. Und zwar am Samstag, 16.08.2025 am Golfpark am Löwenhof in Friedberg Ockstadt. Dort sprühe ich live wieder Graffiti Urban Artwork auf Keilrahmen-Leinwand als einen der Tombola-Hauptpreise. Die Einnahmen kommen natürlich der DUK-Hilfe zu gute …

Weiterhin gibt es freien Eintritt für alles Gäste, aber auch für alle weiteren Feierwütigen zur Golden Gate Party/Afterparty im Karlson, Karlsstr. 17  in Frankfurt. Celebration

80 years ago today, the Second World War officially ended. A reason to celebrate. Apparently not in Germany, because only in Berlin is today a public holiday; in all other federal states, it’s just a so-called „commemoration day.“ But why?

Germany-bashing isn’t fun, but I often wonder why we have so little international and European unity? Is this ultimately a result of education? A false perception of mistakes, not a proper culture of error?

Learning is a wonderful thing. Celebrating even more so. And we should have learned by now that it’s simply better to be together than against each other…

Another reason to celebrate is the fact that there’s a charity golf tournament organized by Jens Maspfuhl’s DUK-Hilfe (German Unity Workers‘ Aid). It’s on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the Golfpark am Löwenhof in Friedberg-Ockstadt. There, I’ll once again be spraying graffiti urban artwork on stretcher canvas as one of the main raffle prizes. The proceeds will, of course, benefit DUK Hilfe (a charity for the German Youth Organization)…

Furthermore, admission is free for all guests, as well as for all other partygoers, to the Golden Gate Party/Afterparty at Karlson, Karlsstr. 17 in Frankfurt. Interior design de Luxe

It’s almost impossible to comprehend how many offices and interiors I’ve sprayed in my 36 years of artistic service as a graffiti artist. Here’s a nice little example from 2013 from the Frankfurt-based MA for Aiticon, an app manufacturer, that shows that I was right to successfully establish the spray paint can as a tool back in 1989. In 1996 followed my first own can brand with its own color range Belton Oxygen Colors. Back then, the foundation for everything that is now called professional sprays for graffiti and street art.

On behalf of Messe Frankfurt, together with Fedor „CANTWO“ Wildhardt, I tagged personalized names, so-called tags, on paper for trade fair visitors for Paperworld (the forerunner fair of Creativeworld) as part of our Absolute Graffiti 2007 cooperation. I called this innovation Graffitiyourname. In 2009 we also designed all of the attraction stands with spray paint cans, which were already all equipped with mirrors in 2007 to give trade fair visitors a better view of the work of us stand artists. In 2007 we sat in close proximity to design legend Luigi Colani and at the same time Mode 2 was designing an area in the exhibition hall on behalf of Kram/Weisshaar. In fact, we were the first street or urban artists to serve as teasers for upcoming DIY shows. Everyone followed… Posca, Montana, Molotow, MTN, Loop, Clash to name just a few…

Tatsächlich sprühte ich kurz danach auch noch den Eingangsbereich.

For the legendary concert location, club and living room, the venerable Batschkapp in Frankfurt’s Eschersheim am weissen Stein district, 20 years ago I sprayed the graffiti artwork freehand and without any tools onto the facade, which itself has now become a legend. Until it was demolished in 2019, Run DMC, Frank Zappa, the Muppet Band including Animal, Jimi Hendrix, Keith Flint from The Prodigy and Keith Richards from the Rolling Stones, as well as the Eintracht Frankfurt Eagle, were on display as an express request of SGE fan Ralf Scheffler.

In fact, shortly afterwards I also sprayed the entrance area.

Meine wilde und freie Tätigkeit namens Gestaltung mit der Farbsprühdose aka Graffiti/Stylewriting kann man auch getrost als gemeinnützige Landschaftspflege titulieren … daher vollziehe ich mindestens einmal im Jahr auch eine so genannte soziale Arbeit.

Denke, da bricht man sich nichts ab, wenn man durchaus auch nicht in Belohnungsprinzipien handelt. Denn ein Lächeln und Liebe kann mindestens genauso Belohnung darstellen. Klar, muss man sich das erlauben können. Aber hey, irgendwas geht immer … auch wenn ich da schon ganz andere Zeiten erleben durfte.

Hier ein Beispiel der Grundschule Riedberg, bei dem ich mehrere Indoor Flächen im Rahmen des Social Day der Malteser bespielte, bei dem ich seit 2003 aktiv bin. Ebenfalls gestaltete ich neulich den Klassenraum 124 der Weingartenschule in Kriftel:

My wild and free activity called designing with the paint spray can aka graffiti/style writing can also confidently be called non-profit landscape conservation… that’s why I do so-called social work at least once a year. I think you’re not breaking anything if you don’t act according to reward principles. Because a smile and love can be at least as rewarding. Of course, you have to be able to allow yourself that.

But hey, something always works… even if I was able to experience completely different times. Here is an example from the Riedberg elementary school, where I used several indoor areas as part of the Malteser Social Day, where I have been active since 2003. I also recently designed classroom 124 at the Weingarten School in Kriftel:

BOMBERs Beach Flow by MiP

Hipper Stuff und Innovationen (außerhalb von Konzernen und Institionen wie Max Planck und Fraunhofer) sind ja eher selten aus Deutschland. Um so bemerkenswerter ist der Mut und die Cojones von Jeremy Appel (und seinem Förderer und meinem Freund Papa Sascha) ein Unternehmen aus dem Nichts zu erschaffen. Das Produkt: eine Sitzgelegenheit für überall, die Kult werden könnte, der Beach Flow …

Da ich das Werkzeug Farbsprühdose schon seit Ende der 80er Jahre als Gestaltungstool einsetze, blieb es nicht aus, es auch für andere Objekte, als nur Wand, Fassade oder Fahrzeuge einzusetzen und die Oberfläche eines dieser Beach Flows zu gestalten. Titel: Life is a beach.

Hip stuff and innovations (outside of corporations and institutions like Max Planck and Fraunhofer) are rarely from Germany. The courage and cojones of Jeremy Appel (and his sponsor and my friend dad Sascha) to create a company from nothing are all the more remarkable. The product: a seat for everywhere that could become a cult, the Beach Flow…

Since I have been using the paint spray can as a design tool since the late 80s, it was inevitable to use it for objects other than just walls, facades or vehicles and to design the surface of one of these beach flows. Title: Life is a beach.

Lichtkunst live … 30 Jahre Stadtmuseum Hofheim
 

Projizierte Lightpaintings und Lichtgraffiti im öffentlichen Raum zusammen mit dem Publikum bei jeder Aufführung improvisiert und spontan neu gestaltet.

Nach mehreren Luminale Teilnahmen in Frankfurt und Offenbach, Winter Lights London und diversen Buchungen im In- und Ausland, wie dem Primavera Festival für Seat in Barcelona, Waiblingen, Solothurn und Basel ist es mir eine wahre Freude einen Termin für eine öffentliche Veranstaltung bekannt zu geben. Zum Jubiläum 30 Jahre Stadtmuseum Hofheim am Samstag, den 25.11.2023 werden Marcel Panne von Lichtfaktor und ich auf dem Ludwig-Meidner-Platz in Hofheim am Taunus Lichtkunst inkl. Sound vorführen.

Zuschauer dürfen nicht nur konsumieren sondern selbst auch ausprobieren.

Hier ein kurzer Funktionstext, sozusagen FAQs des Lichtmalens: Wir laden dich ein mit Licht auf die Fassade des Stadtmuseums Hofheim zu malen. Dafür haben wir unterschiedliche Lichtquellen vorbereitet, am besten machst du dich kurz mit den Lichtquellen vertraut und schaust wo die An/Aus Taste sind. Wenn du die Taste nur leicht drückst geht das Licht aus sobald du wieder los lässt, so lässt sich am besten damit malen. Wenn du die Taste durchdrückst bis ein „klick“-Geräusch zu hören ist, bleibt sie an bis du die Taste erneut drückst. Wichtig ist, dass du die Lampen nicht auf die Fassade richtest, sonder von ihr weg in den Raum, sobald du sie verdeckst und die Kamera dein Licht nicht sieht, funktioniert es nicht. Wir empfehlen seitlich zu malen, so verdeckst du das Licht nicht mit deinem Körper. Denk daran die Lampen auszumachen oder mit deiner Hand zu verdecken wenn du nicht malen willst, es ist nicht möglich etwas zu löschen. Heller als Weiss wird es nicht, lass uns wissen wenn du ein neues Bild starten willst und vergiss nicht ein Foto von deinem Meisterwerk zu machen bevor wir mit einem neuen Bild zu Beginnen. Wenn dir was nicht klarsein sollte, sprich uns einfach an, wir helfen dir gerne weiter. Hier noch ein kleiner Tipp: du kannst sehr präzise an der Wand malen aber dich auch frei im Raum mit der Lichtquelle bewegen, das bringt deiner Zeichnung mehr Perspektive und Dynamik. Viel Spass beim Lichtmalen.

Start ist ab Einbruch der Dunkelheit, ab ca. 19:30 Uhr.
