diesen Ausspruch Victor Hugos (1802 – 1885) kann man wenig entgegensetzen. Ähnlich, wie die Erfindung des Automobils die Welt verändert hat, verändert die Hip Hop, allen voran die Sprühdosenkunst und deren Abvarianten die Welt nachhaltig. Einzig der digitale Gegenpol versucht die Menschheit vom tatsächlichen Wandel abzulenken.

Und ja, wir benötigen keine Vereine um zu zeigen, daß wir viele sind. Die weltumspannende Kunst und Kultur ist schon eine Vereinigung, so groß, daß sie unübersehbar ist.

Und eigentlich benötigen wir dafür auch keine Funktionäre, denn die gemeinsame Sprache HipHop eint uns alle, die wir damit verbunden sind. Und das gute: Jeder kann sich dem nähern und teilnehmen. Über Nationen, über Sprachen, über den positiven Kontext des gestalterischen Ausdrucks, sei es Tanz, Malerei oder Musik.

Wer in diesem Zusammenhang von HipHop als einer Jugendkultur spricht, wird diesem Thema nicht annäherend gerecht, denn seit seit über 50 Jahren schafft es diese Spielform der Kunst kulturelle Verknüpfungen über sprachliche und finanzielle Barrieren hinweg; dies auch über Generationen.

Nicht umsonst investiert der Staat so viel in Sozial-und Kunstpädagogik. Vergebens … denn das Thema ist schon viel weiter, als die Unis angehenden Pädagogen mitgeben und zeigen können.

Der HipHop Austausch zwischen Europa und China EU-CN 2012 war trotz Funktionären, wie Staatssekretären, Landtagsmitarbeitern, Manuel Gerullis (Kontext, Buntic, MOS-Orga), Zulu Timski und Achim Akim Walta aka Zebster wohl ein voller Erfolg. Es gab einen Empfang im Rathaus in Wiesbaden mit Tanzdarbietungen und Fotosession, ebenso Kurzvortrag von Zulu Timski Joris ten Vaarwerk aus Holland.

An meiner damaligen Freifläche, dem Pausenhof der Fried-Lübbecke-Grundschule Frankfurter Stadtteil Eschersheim sprühten WOK aus Hannover, DICKID aka Zhiqi Yang und dessen Freunde aus China, sowie meine Wenigkeit eine Mural zum Thema Frankfurt meets Canton (Guangzhou oder Kanton). Danke an die unkomplizierte Freigabe des damaligen Schulrektors Michael Bock.

Just as the invention of the automobile changed the world, Hip Hop and especially the spray-painting and its variations are changing it permanently. Only the digital counterpoint attempts to distract humanity from this real transformation.

And yes, we don’t need associations to show that there are many of us. This global art and culture is already a union, so vast that it’s impossible to overlook.

And actually, we don’t need officials for this either, because the common language of hip-hop unites all of us connected to it. And the good thing is: everyone can approach it and participate. Across nations, across languages, across the positive context of creative expression, be it dance, painting, or music.

It’s no coincidence that the state invests so heavily in social and art education. In vain… because the subject matter has already progressed far beyond what universities can teach and demonstrate to aspiring educators.

The 2012 EU-CN Hip-Hop Exchange between Europe and China, despite the presence of officials such as state secretaries, state parliament staff, Manuel Gerullis (Kontext, Buntic, MOS-Orga), Zulu Timski, and Achim Akim Walta aka Zebster, was apparently a resounding success. There was a reception at the state parliament in Wiesbaden with dance performances and a photo session, as well as a short presentation by Zulu Timski Joris ten Vaarwerk from the Netherlands.

On my then open space, the schoolyard of the Fried-Lübbecke-Grundschule in the Eschersheim district of Frankfurt, WOK from Hanover, DICKID aka Zhiqi Yang and his friends from China, as well as myself, sprayed a mural on the theme Frankfurt meets Canton (Guangzhou or Kanton).
