City of What? City of WOW!

 

Was wirklich genau so beim so genannten WDC (World Design Capital) in Frankfurt und Umgebung stattfinden soll und wie, scheint irgendwie noch nicht so genau festzustehen. Das Ganze wirkt noch reichlich fluide.

Was feststeht und schon eröffnet wurde ist wohl die Expo von Satis & Fy und Nordisk in der Gutleutstraße 324 in 60327 Frankfurt am Main, namens City of Wow: https://www.cityofwow.com, bei dem auch ich ein Foto aus Frankfurts Osten aus den frühen 90ern beisteuerte.

Im Rahmen des WDCs gestalte ich heute und morgen acht zirka jeweils zwei Meter hohe Ostereier (u.a. eines für das Senckenberg Museum) für das Skyline Plaza in Frankfurt die an verschiedenen Orten rund um und in dieser Shopping Mal ihren Präsentationsort finden werden.

What exactly is supposed to happen at the so-called WDC (World Design Capital) in Frankfurt and the surrounding area, and how, doesn’t seem to be entirely clear yet. The whole thing still feels quite fluid.

What is certain and has already opened is the Satis & Fy and Nordisk expo on Gutleutstraße, called City of Wow: https://www.cityofwow.com, to which I also contributed a photo from Frankfurt’s east side from the early 90s.

As part of the WDC, I’m creating eight Easter eggs, each approximately two meters high (including one for the Senckenberg Museum), for the Skyline Plaza in Frankfurt today and tomorrow. These will be displayed at various locations around and inside this shopping mall.
