Jetzt wo es allenthalben Ausstellungen zum Thema Hip Hop und deren Auswirkungen auf unseren Alltag hat, wo auf einmal das museal und schützenswert erscheint, was für viele von uns Jugend und Lebensinhalt bedeutet(e) kommen auch immer mehr Printprodukte dazu heraus, z.B. Bücher. Ich freue mich über die Würdigung meines Textes und meines frühen Artworks unter vielen alten Weggefährten im neuen Buch »Wall Street Meeting – Destroy and Rebuild (ISBN 978-3-00-074650-5)« von Manuel Gerullis zu finden.

Nicht nur zufällig könnte der Buchtitel auch für ein klassisches Architekturwerk herhalten, stellt doch wildes Graffiti tatsächlich rein rechtlich den Tatbestand der Sachbeschädigung dar, obwohl die Sache an sich gar nicht ihres wirklichen Nutzens beraubt wird. Was man von architektonischer Herangehensweise oftmals nicht wirklich behaupten kann. Manuel, der Initiator dieses vermutlich wichtigsten Street Art-/Graffiti Art-Festivals (seit 1997) und DBL-Crewbuddy plant das Europäische Hip Hop Museum in Wiesbaden.

Culture that wasn’t allowed to exist for a long time …

Now that there are exhibitions everywhere on the subject of hip hop and its effects on our everyday lives, where what suddenly appears to be a museum and worth protecting, which means youth and the meaning of life for many of us, more and more are coming Print products, e.g. books. I am pleased that my text and my early artwork have been recognized among many old companions in the new book »Wall Street Meeting – Destroy and Rebuild (ISBN 978-3-00-0746505)« by Manuel Gerullis.

It is not just a coincidence that the title of the book could also be used for a classic work of architecture, as wild graffiti actually legally constitutes the offense of damage to property, even though the thing itself is not deprived of its real use. Something that can often not really be said about an architectural approach.

Manuel, the initiator of what is probably the most important street art/graffiti art festival (since 1997) and DBL crew buddy, is planning the European Hip Hop Museum in Wiesbaden.

Griechenland aus der Sicht deutscher und griechischer Künstler

Mit Griechenland verbindet viele von uns nicht nur den Ursprung des westlichen, europäischen Denkens und der Philosophie, sondern auch eine Landschaft und herzliche Einwohner. 2019 war ich auch das erste Mal persönlich dort, auf der Insel Kos. Schon 2000 wurde ich nach Athen zum Meeting of Styles/MOS durch Woozy/Kiriakos Iosifidis (Autor von Mural Art, Bike Art und Mural Masters) eingeladen. Damals schickte ich noch durch meinen Hinderungsgrund, die Flugphobie den nicht minder bekannten Klark Kent/Mario Laugell nach Griechenland. Heute würde sich das so nicht mehr darstellen.

2014 wurde ich angefragt, für die Griechische Zentrale für Fremdenverkehr im Treppenhaus und die Geschäftsführungsräume (wie immer freihand ohne Hilfsmittel, ohne Schablone o.ä.) Werke zu gestalten.  Aufgrund der Begeisterung über die Ergebnisse lud mich der Verein Griechischer Akademiker Frankfurt am Main e.V. ein, drei Arbeiten für eine Ausstellung zu erstellen.

Organisiert wurde eine Ausstellung mit Kunstwerken deutschen und griechischen Künstler mit dem Ziel, die Freundschaftsbeziehungen zwischen den Ländern zu fördern und zu stärken. Folgende Künstler nehmen an der Ausstellung teil: Christos Bouronikos, Willy Dorn, Klaus-Valtin von Eickstedt, Alexander Haßenpflug, Jannis Psychopedis, Pavlos Samios, Helge Steinmann und Bernd Wagner.

Die Werke werden vom 19. November bis zum 13. Dezember 2019 zu den Geschäftszeiten von 9:00-16:00 Uhr, Donnerstags 9:00-18.00 Uhr in den Räumen des Kundenzentrums der Frankfurter Sparkasse in der Neuen Mainzer Straße 47-53 in 60311 Frankfurt am Main zu sehen sein. Willkommen zur Vernissage am Dienstag, 19. November 2019, ab 19:00 Uhr, die Landtagspräsident Boris Rhein eröffnen wird.

Greece from the perspective of German and Greek artists

Not only does the origins of Western, European thought and philosophy connect me with Greece, but in 2019 it was the first time for me, that I spent time personally over there, on the island of Kos. Already in 2000 I was invited to Athens for the Meeting of Styles / MOS by Woozy / Kiriakos Iosifidis (author of books like Mural Art, Bike Art and Mural Masters). At that time, due to my obstacle, the phobia of flying sent me the no less well-known Klark Kent / Mario Laugell to Greece. This would not be the case today.

In 2014, I was asked to design some artwork in the staircase and some artwork at the management rooms for the Hellenic Tourist Office (as usual freehand without tools, without stencil or similar). Due to the enthusiasm about the results, the Association of Greek Academics Frankfurt am Main e.V. invited me to create three works on framed canvas for an exhibition.
This exhibition was organized with works of art by German and Greek artists with the aim of promoting and strengthening friendships between the countries. The following artists will participate in the exhibition: Christos Bouronikos, Willy Dorn, Klaus-Valtin von Eickstedt, Alexander Haßenpflug, Jannis Psychopedis, Pavlos Samios, Helge Steinmann and Bernd Wagner.

The works will take place from 19 November to 13 December 2019 during business hours from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, on Thursdays 9:00 am to 6:00 pm in the rooms of the Customer Center of Frankfurter Sparkasse in Neue Mainzer Straße 47-53 in 60311 Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Welcome to the Vernissage on Tuesday, 19 November 2019, from 19:00 clock, the President of the Parliament Boris Rhein will open.
