Im Rahmen der von mir aufgebauten Agentur Oxgygen-the Art Agency, damals durch die Medien Mitte der 90er als weltweit erste Agentur für Street Art, Graffiti Art und Urbane Künste tituliert, sprühte ich in der Halle des Exzess auf der Leipziger Straße 91 in Bockenheim 1996 eine Leinwandfläche für den so genannten Eta-Marathon, den heutigen Frankfurt Marathon. Zum Zieleinlauf der Laufenden stand die Groß-Leinwand aus 12 gerahmten Einzelkeilrahmen auf der Bühne der Festhalle in Frankfurt. Die Werke wurden dann meistbietend versteigert.

Wer etwas über den Verbleib der zwölf Werke 200 x 200 cm weiß, darf sich gerne bei mir melden.

Those who do a lot have a lot to say … supposedly the most valuable thing of all these days, known in modern German as „content.“

As part of the agency I built, Oxgygen-the Art Agency, which was dubbed the world’s first agency for street art, graffiti art, and urban art in the mid-90s by the media, I spray-painted a canvas in the Hall of Excess at Leipziger Straße 91 in Bockenheim in 1996 for the so-called Eta Marathon, today’s Frankfurt Marathon. As the runners crossed the finish line, the large canvas, made of 12 framed individual stretcher frames, stood on the stage of the Festhalle in Frankfurt. The works were then auctioned off to the highest bidder.

Beim Aufräumen und Sortieren fand ich wieder einige gute Werke aus meiner wilden Produktion, hier ein Graffiti-Stylewriting mit einem Portrait des Rappers Guru von Gang Starr (R.I.P.) das ich 17.08.1992 nachts sprühte inkl. Vorstreiche-was ne Arbeit … Durfte Guru damals live im Palais Osthafen mit DJ Premier erleben. Danke an Klaus Schaeffer und Hanne Reichel.

Wie so viele Arbeiten wurden diese einfach durch die Stadtwerke Frankfurt oder andere Institutionen zerstört, da wilde Werke offiziell keinen (kulturellen schonmal eh nicht) Wert haben dürfen.

Und: ein Mane-Grey Graffiti Art-Stylewriting mit Character, daß seit 1992 unberührt am Südbahnhof in Sachsenhausen glänzt.

Nun aber zu den genehmigten Teil, weil beauftragt und honoriert (ja honorare-ehrenhalber gegen Austausch von Ziffern und Symboliken auf Papier oder Digital.)

Diesen Spätsommer/Herbst durfte ich bisher lustigste Murals und Fassaden (offiziell-auch wenn die netten Damen und Herren in Blau in Bornheim dazu kamen) gestalten und einen Zieharmonikabus des Antagon-Aktionstheaters. Über eine Sockel-Fassadengestaltung in Bornheim zum Thema Eintracht Frankfurt/SGE (Glückwunsch zum gestrigen Sieg von 5:1 über Galatasaray), eine Sporthallenfassade mit Grundschulkids im Rahmen der Projektwoche in Nied an der Niddaschule und eine Fassade für den FC Marxheim, eine Indoor Fläche in der Dorea-Familie in Flörsheim. Ein SGE-Eintracht Frankfurt-Fan Graffiti auf einem Garagentor in Eddersheim und eine Indoor Gestaltung auf Säulen in Mainz für Rogge.

Weiterhin sprühte ich das Wappen des FCO Fechtclub Offenbach auf dessen Fassade in der Senefelder Str. 265 inkl. einer Fechterin als Wegweiser bzw. Leitsystem zum Eingang des Olympiastützpunktes. 

Dann sprühte ich eine freies typisches BOMBER Stylewriting am Blauen Wasser, einer hippen Offspace Location in Frankfurts Osten und hatte Spaß mit dem frischgebackenen GBF Member Dejoe aus Berlin auf dem letzten krassesten Schrotti-Jam in Babenhausen einige Flächen zu gestalten. Unter anderem sprühte ich eine moderne Interpretation des Wilhelm Busch Klassikers Lehrer Lämpel.

Ansteht gerade folgendes: Indoor-Flächen in Oberrad im Rahmen des Socialday der Malteser, eine Trafohaus-Gestaltung für die Mainova, eine Fassade am Domplatz in Frankfurt, Indoor Flächen für das Gym des MTV Kronberg. Ein Teamevent für einen Fund in Glashütten und eine Urban Art Airbrushing Session in Wiesbaden für das Zukunftswerk.

Und einen neuen Azubi habe ich auch. Thiemo unterstützt mich in allen Belangen. Welcome.

While cleaning up and sorting, I found some good pieces from my wild production. Here’s a graffiti style piece with a portrait of rapper Guru from Gang Starr (R.I.P.) that I sprayed on August 17, 1992, at night, including a primer—what a job! I was lucky enough to see Guru live at the Palais Osthafen with DJ Premier. Thanks to Klaus Schaeffer and Hanne Reichel.

Like so many other artworks, these were simply destroyed by the Frankfurt public utility company or other institutions, since uncontrolled artworks are officially not allowed to have any value (and certainly not cultural value).

And: a Mane-Grey graffiti art style with character that has been shining untouched at the Südbahnhof (South Station) in Sachsenhausen since 1992.

But now to the approved part, because it was commissioned and paid (yes, honorary fees in exchange for numbers and symbols on paper or digitally).

This late summer/autumn, I was able to design the funniest murals and facades to date (officially, even though the nice ladies and gentlemen in blue in Bornheim joined in), as well as an accordion bus for the Antagon Action Theater. A base façade design in Bornheim featuring Eintracht Frankfurt/SGE (congratulations on yesterday’s 5-1 victory over Galatasaray), a sports hall façade with elementary school children as part of the project week in Nied at the Niddaschule, and a façade for FC Marxheim, an indoor area at the Dorea-Family in Flörsheim. An SGE Eintracht Frankfurt fan graffiti on a garage door in Eddersheim, and an indoor design on pillars in Mainz for Rogge.

I also sprayed the crest of the FCO Fencing Club Offenbach on its façade at Senefelder Str. 265, including a female fencer as a signpost or guidance system to the entrance of the Olympic Training Center.

Then I sprayed some free, typical BOMBER style writing at Blaues Wasser, a hip off-space location in eastern Frankfurt, and had fun designing some surfaces with newly minted GBF member Dejoe from Berlin at the last awesome scrap metal jam in Babenhausen. Among other things, I sprayed a modern interpretation of the Wilhelm Busch classic „Teacher Lämpel.“

Currently, I’m working on the following: indoor surfaces in Oberrad as part of the Malteser Social Day, a transformer house design for Mainova, a facade at Domplatz in Frankfurt, indoor surfaces for the MTV Kronberg gym, a team event for a find in Glashütten, and an urban art airbrushing session in Wiesbaden for Zukunftswerk.

And I also have a new trainee. Thiemo supports me in all matters. Welcome.

Der Beitrag Guru (Gang Starr / Jazzmatazz) 1992, Schrotti, Eintracht Frankfurt und der Offenbacher Fechtclub erschien zuerst auf BOMBER - Atelier für urbane Kommunikation.

Hier ein Beispiel von der ISW – Internationale Schule Westpfalz die in einem ehemsligen Kloster im pfälzischen Landstuhl untergebracht ist, die auch eine liebevolle Kunst-Ausstellung auf die Beine stellten. Eine Woche später gabs noch einen Tag der offenen Tür für alle Eltern und Angehörigen. Das Motto der Schule kann nur als herrlich offen angenehm beschrieben werden »Dare To Do What You Dream« trifft auch genau mein Herz und die Schulräume sind offen und luftig. Eine superangenehme Atmosphäre, die ich als sehr herzlich und fürsorglich im Sinne der Kids empfand. War sehr sweet.

After over 60 years of style writing graffiti, which has existed for this topic, more and more elementary schools are requesting graffiti art workshops from me this year… The kids are completely into it and for the most part, they don’t want to stop creating with spray paint and spraying surfaces. In my opinion, that’s an astonishing statement when you look at the curricula and usual teaching materials of regular schools.

Here’s an example from the ISW – Internationale Schule Westpfalz, housed in a former monastery in Landstuhl, Palatinate, which also put on a lovely art exhibition. A week later, there was an open day for all parents and relatives.

The school’s motto can only be described as wonderfully open and pleasant. „Dare To Do What You Dream“ really resonates with my heart, and the classrooms are open and airy. A super-comfortable atmosphere that I found very warm and caring for the children. It was very sweet.

Gesagt, getan: Für PYVOT dem beauftragten Unternehmen aus Las Vegas erstellte ich kurzfristig ein sehr grafisches Dekor-Layout FFM, daß Frankfurt repräsentieren und auf das IMEX-Logo Bezug nehmen soll. Die limitierten Socken sind dann auf der Messe IMEX an einem speziellen Stand erhältlich.

On May 20, 2025, IMEX, the trade fair for the tourism and event industry, which takes place every year in May in Frankfurt am Main and in October as IMEX America in Las Vegas, will begin again. For years, my team and I have been creating tape art live at the trade fair in Frankfurt. This year, on May 20 and 21, I was asked not only as an artist but also as a designer to create this year’s decorative design for the Frankfurt IMEX socks.

No sooner said than done: For PYVOT, the Las Vegas-based company commissioned to create this design, I created a highly graphic decorative layout for Frankfurt at short notice, representing Frankfurt and referencing the IMEX logo. The limited-edition socks will then be available at a special booth at the IMEX trade fair.

Heute vor 80 Jahren endete offiziell der zweite Weltkrieg. Ein Grund zu feiern. Anscheinend nicht in Deutschland, denn nur in Berlin ist heute ein Feiertag, in allen anderen Bundesländern ist es nur ein so genannter »Gedenktag«. Aber warum nur?

Deutschland-Bashing macht ja keinen Spaß, aber ich frage mich an so vielen Stellen, warum wir so wenig international, europa-einig sind? Ist das am Ende ein Ergebnis der Bildung? Eine falsche Wahrnehmung von Fehlern, eben keine richtige Fehlerkultur?

Lernen ist doch etwas tolles. Feiern sowieso. Und wir sollten doch mittlerweile gelernt haben, daß es miteinander einfach besser ist, als gegeneinander …

Ein weiterer Grund zum Feiern ist die Tatsache, daß es ein wohltätiges Golf Turnier der DUK-Hilfe von Jens Maspfuhl gibt. Und zwar am Samstag, 16.08.2025 am Golfpark am Löwenhof in Friedberg Ockstadt. Dort sprühe ich live wieder Graffiti Urban Artwork auf Keilrahmen-Leinwand als einen der Tombola-Hauptpreise. Die Einnahmen kommen natürlich der DUK-Hilfe zu gute …

Weiterhin gibt es freien Eintritt für alles Gäste, aber auch für alle weiteren Feierwütigen zur Golden Gate Party/Afterparty im Karlson, Karlsstr. 17  in Frankfurt. Celebration

80 years ago today, the Second World War officially ended. A reason to celebrate. Apparently not in Germany, because only in Berlin is today a public holiday; in all other federal states, it’s just a so-called „commemoration day.“ But why?

Germany-bashing isn’t fun, but I often wonder why we have so little international and European unity? Is this ultimately a result of education? A false perception of mistakes, not a proper culture of error?

Learning is a wonderful thing. Celebrating even more so. And we should have learned by now that it’s simply better to be together than against each other…

Another reason to celebrate is the fact that there’s a charity golf tournament organized by Jens Maspfuhl’s DUK-Hilfe (German Unity Workers‘ Aid). It’s on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the Golfpark am Löwenhof in Friedberg-Ockstadt. There, I’ll once again be spraying graffiti urban artwork on stretcher canvas as one of the main raffle prizes. The proceeds will, of course, benefit DUK Hilfe (a charity for the German Youth Organization)…

Furthermore, admission is free for all guests, as well as for all other partygoers, to the Golden Gate Party/Afterparty at Karlson, Karlsstr. 17 in Frankfurt. On behalf of Messe Frankfurt, together with Fedor „CANTWO“ Wildhardt, I tagged personalized names, so-called tags, on paper for trade fair visitors for Paperworld (the forerunner fair of Creativeworld) as part of our Absolute Graffiti 2007 cooperation. I called this innovation Graffitiyourname. In 2009 we also designed all of the attraction stands with spray paint cans, which were already all equipped with mirrors in 2007 to give trade fair visitors a better view of the work of us stand artists. In 2007 we sat in close proximity to design legend Luigi Colani and at the same time Mode 2 was designing an area in the exhibition hall on behalf of Kram/Weisshaar. In fact, we were the first street or urban artists to serve as teasers for upcoming DIY shows. Everyone followed… Posca, Montana, Molotow, MTN, Loop, Clash to name just a few…

Selbst beigeisterter biker, durfte ich am 30.05.2022 vor der Skatehalle, nähe Schlachthof Wiesbaden in deren Räumen die Preisverleihung des Schulradlens stattfand, live vor Publikum den Hauptpreis gestalten: Eine 160 x 120 cm Keilrahmen-Leinwand mit meiner künstlerischen Interpretation des Themas Radeln in Street Art Optik, wie immer freihand gesprüht: »Biking saves the planet …«
Tarek el Wazir, seines Zeichens Hessischer Minister für Wirtschaft, Energie, Verkehr und Wohnen und Stellvertreter des Hessischen Ministerpräsidenten überreichte den Preis der Gewinnerschule und erkundigte sich ebenfalls nach der Veranstaltung nach der Realisierung des Artworks.

Der Wettbewerb zählt zum Angebot des Fachzentrums Schulisches Mobilitätsmanagement, das das Land Hessen bei der ivm eingerichtet hat Der Wettbewerb wird unter dem Dach der Arbeitsgemeinschaft NahmobilitätHessen (AGNH) vom Hessischen Wirtschaftsministerium gemeinsam mit dem Integrierten Verkehrs- und Mobilitätsmanagement Region Frankfurt RheinMain (ivm) und dem Klima-Bündnis durchgeführt und ist eingebettet in die Klima-Bündnis-Kampagne STADTRADELN.

As an enthusiastic biker myself, I was allowed to design the main prize live in front of the audience on May 30th, 2022 in front of the skate hall near Schlachthof Wiesbaden, where the award ceremony for school cycling took place: A 160 x 120 cm stretcher frame canvas with my artistic interpretation of the topic of cycling in street Kind of look, sprayed freehand as always: »Biking saves the planet …
Tarek el Wazir, Hessian Minister for Economic Affairs, Energy, Transport and Housing and Deputy Prime Minister of Hesse, presented the award to the winning school and also asked about the realization of the artwork after the event.

The competition is part of the offer of the specialist center for school mobility management, which the state of Hesse has set up at ivm Climate Alliance and is embedded in the Climate Alliance campaign CITY CYCLING.

Back 2 the roots …

In Zeiten in der alles kontrolliert werden möchte, in der selbst die Pädagogik nicht davor zurückschreckt in gewachsene Strukturen einzugreifen um ebenfalls Bereiche kontrollieren zu wollen, die sich über Jahrzehnte selbstständig ohne sie (ja, die Pädagogigik. Sic) etablierten, ja eben in diesen Zeiten finde ich selbst zurück zu meinen gestalterischen Ursprüngen und darf dankenswerterweise zur Eröffnung des SkateParks am 01. April 2022, dem so genannten FlyOver unter dem Hessendamm live sprühen.

Es ist dies die größte und höchste Brücke Hattersheims. An diesem Unort (herrliches soziologisch geprägtes Wort) gestalte/sprühe ich im Rahmen der feierlichen Eröffnung durch Bürgermeister Klaus Schindling über den Zeitraum von 14.00 bis 17.00 Uhr an den Betonpfeilern skateboard- und skate-affine Themen.

Der Innovation beider urbanen Sport-Kunstarten Skating und Writing (ehemals aus den USA kommend) wird man hier leider nicht mehr ganz gerecht werden bzw. etwas leicht ad absurdum geführt. Ist doch der Grundtenor beider eng verknüpften Bereiche, den gesamten so genannten öffentlichen Raum als Oberfläche nutzen zu können. »Aber irgendwo müssen die Bratzen von heute doch üben dürfen …«, höre ich es da aus der Sozial-und Kunstpädagogenecke aufmucken.

»Hatten wir auch nicht!«, möchte ich darauf antworten. Wir haben uns unseren Stadtraum selbst gestaltet und ihn uns selbst erobert. In tatsächlich knapp 40 Jahren war ich mit Freunden und Kollegen aus dem Segment der Gestaltung mit der Farbsprühdose immer mal wieder vor Ort (siehe Fotos).

Nichtsdestotrotz hat die Stadt Hattersheim Geld in die Hand genommen und eine neue Skateanlage bauen lassen. Eine gute Sache um nicht nur den örtlichen Kids einen Ort zum Üben zu geben.

Es ist lange überfällig beiden Positionen Skating und Writing Tribut, Wert und Kulturbestandteil zu attestieren, nicht nur in den USA, sondern weltweit.

Beide Themen haben seit Anfang der 80er Jahre weltweit über die Massenmedien Verbreitung gefunden und wurden begeistert von örtlich vorhandenen Kulturen assimiliert und widergespiegelt.

In times when everything wants to be controlled, when even pedagogy does not shy away from intervening in grown structures in order to also want to control areas that have established themselves independently for decades without them (yes, pedagogy. Sic), yes, precisely in these times I am finding my way back to my creative origins and thankfully I can spray live at the opening of the SkatePark on April 1st, 2022, the so-called FlyOver under the so called Hessendamm.
This is the largest and highest bridge in Hattersheim am Main, Germany. At this non-place (wonderful sociologically influenced word) I design/spray skateboard and skate-related topics on the concrete pillars during the ceremonial opening by Mayor Klaus Schindling from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Unfortunately, the innovation of both urban sports arts skating and writing (formerly coming from the USA) will no longer be done justice here or rather slightly taken ad absurdum. After all, the basic tenor of both closely linked areas is to be able to use the entire so-called public space as a surface. „But today’s brats must be allowed to practice somewhere…“ I hear the social and art pedagogues grumbling.

„Neither did we!“ I want to reply. We designed our urban space ourselves and conquered it ourselves. In almost 40 years I have been there with friends and colleagues from the design segment with the paint spray can from time to time (see photos).
Nevertheless, the city of Hattersheim took the money and had a new skate park built. A good thing to not only give the local kids a place to practice.

It is long overdue for both positions, skating and writing, to attest tribute, value and a cultural component, not just in the US but worldwide.
Both themes have spread worldwide through the mass media since the early 1980s and have been enthusiastically assimilated and reflected by local cultures.

Musik ist ja einer meiner wichtigen Antriebsfaktoren und eine echte Inspirationsquelle. So habe ich mich freikünstlerisch mit dem Thema Zeit und Musik zu meiner Aufnahme beim BBK Wiesbaden am 11.01.2013 (den ich kurz darauf wieder verließ) auseinandergesetzt. Musikalische Werke scheinen ja der Raum- und Zeitfüller schlechthin zu sein. Analog dazu wurden Teile meines Werkes in Form einer schriftkünstlerischen Wandgestaltung von mir über den Zeitraum der Ausstellung im Kunsthaus Wiesbaden entfernt und andere hinzugefügt. Zum Ende der Ausstellung war das Werk wieder ganz entfernt, ähnlich dem Ende eines Songs.

Schon nahezu fünfzehn Jahre vergangen sind seit dem netten Illustrations-Job für das Coke Fridge-Online Portal von Coca Cola bei dem das Hauptaugenmerk ebenfalls auf die Musik gelegt wurde. Ich ließ mich damals unter anderem von Faithless‘ »God is a DJ« beeinflußen, einem treibendem House-Track den die britische Combo schon 1998 erschuf, der aber bis heute zeitlos zu pumpen scheint.

Seitdem ist viel Wasser nicht nur den Rhein heruntergeflossen und der Overdose an Bildwelten nimmt täglich zu. Die Magie der elektromagnetischen Wellen zieht nicht nur Kinder in ihren Bann.

Muse I / music

Music is one of my driving forces and a source of inspiration. So I dealt with the subject of time and music in a noncommercial artificial way to my membership at BBK Wiesbaden (a so called
Professional Association of Visual Artists) on 11.01.2013 (which I left shortly thereafter). Musical works seem to be the space and time filler par excellence. Similarly, parts of my work, a form of a typographically artistic wall design have been removed and added others by me over the period of the exhibition in the arthouse Wiesbaden. At the end of the exhibition, the work was completely removed, similar to the end of a song.

Nearly fifteen years have passed since the nice illustration job for the Coke Fridge online portal by Coca Cola, where the main focus was also placed on the music. At that time I was influenced by Faithless‘ „God is a DJ“, a driving house track that the British combo already created in 1998, but seems to pump timeless to this day.

Since then time goes by and the overdose of visual worlds is increasing daily. The magic of electromagnetic waves does not only captivate children.
