Dafür  gibt es Spezialstrecken, like Hockenheimring, Nürburgring etc.
Deutschland … Hui … So toll nachgedacht und mehrere Probleme gleichzeitig gelöst. Braaaaav.
Think about it …

Punctuality has little to do with efficiency and effectiveness …

02/20/1974 … you should remember the date. Because almost 50 years ago the speed limit in Germany was lifted. I suspect that even then these ominous hordes of Asian speedsters were behind it, who supposedly came to Germany just for this purpose and wanted to make the federal highways unsafe with borrowed vehicles. You read about these fairy tales again and again. Were they invented? By a PR agency or by particularly creative consultants in the automobile lobby?
Hints are rewarded with a total of four thousand kicks from the rumor mill.
All jokes aside … Nowadays, in many parts of the autobahn, the best speed is 120 km / h, often at construction sites 80 km / h and sometimes 60 and less. In general, far too many automobiles … The streets of the big, small towns and villages are bursting with vehicles of all kinds. Trucks flood the gas stations, rest areas and other possibilities. Kilometers of traffic jams and truck queues in two lanes for kilometers …
So there is already a speed limit, so why hide it and not manifest it? The holy cow must not be slaughtered? Where should it still grow, the growth? In times of climate change and its visible results, such as conflagrations, drought and extinction of species, I don’t understand why SUVs weighing tons should roar across the streets at 350 km / h. If you explain it to me, I’ll give you an ice cream. Woodruff or something.
I really don’t understand why we have gun licenses when novice drivers at 17 or 18 or even 85 years old are still allowed to drive a real tank – with which they even have a real weapon. (incl. sports kit, of course) … Vroum Vroum …
I also do not accept the topic of exact arrival time from the headline. If you start earlier, you arrive earlier and if you want to race you don’t need to use the allegedly all tax-paid roads. There are special tracks for this, like the Hockenheimring, Nürburgring etc. In times of Corona they need every cent anyway.
In addition, punctuality has really little to do with efficiency and effectiveness. Many, who supposedly arrive on time, do their private work first when they arrive at work, before they get to work much later – if at all. In times of CoVid19 hysteria, it is rather rare anyway.
So deceleration is the motto of the moment.
In general: the often quoted catchword money. The income from Asiatic asphalt cowboys  on German highways should be manageable. In return – Germany is a transit country – non-German drivers would then have to linger longer on the Teutonic routes, get to know the beautiful area, consume more instead of racing through the countryside at 280 (if at all still possible – perhaps around Ulm).
Sure, driving fast is fun, but why should Germany of all places be the playground for it? I just don’t get into my head …
With a speed limit „overtaking on the right“ would also be a thing of the past. You are welcome to use the right lane again, not just for truck traffic. That would make for a significant improvement in traffic flow. Because if it is very important for a lot of fellow citizens to drive all the way to the left or other citizens like to block the middle of the lane, then we could officially introduce „overtaking on the right“ at a speed limit. That would be an innovation. Germany … Hui … thought so well and solved several problems at the same time. Braaaaav.
I don’t even need to mention how many accidents it causes. As I am writing this, the A66 is fully closed due to a traffic accident. Speed already has an effect on the accident statistics.
And then please don’t keep up with me: „My personal freedom has been curtailed!“ Those who voluntarily offer their data cheaply with free (! Hahaha…) messengers and so-called social media do not lose anything at a speed limit, but rather regain their driving pleasure and real traffic. Remote-controlled via continuous media fire, however, only a few seem to be awake to real different thinking or to thinking about what they really want themselves.
If you still believe that consumption is the solution for everything, you are unfortunately vastly mistaken. Exchange is important, no question about it, but in the future there will be a need for alternative ways of dealing with the exchange of property and property – these two points in the so-called share economy (SE) can be used more innovatively.
But that’s another topic again. Although: You could also share time together … so socially and so …
